Week 2 EOC - This Charming Man

imgres.jpg
mgres)This romantic comedy the underling point being made is that immigration takes our women, job opportunity, and future for us as we know it. If our country can barely support us Americans how can we support other people coming illegally? We cannot support illegal immigrants. Lars from the short film romantic comedy dressed up as a Muslim to get a Danish job and he could not find one because he substituted a Muslim that if not of shown up to his lovers class that she taught English in then she would loose her job and that would make Lars sad, so he dresses up to pretend he is someone who he is not and doesn't know of for the sake of his lover Ida to not loose her job. Because Lars could not get a job through pretending he is Muslim he uses his Danish name "Lars" and gets on almost instantly.

This short term film is relevant to the times we are going through now with immigration, racism, and frustration of the sore subject but myself personally I know of many people who view this subject differently and there are different views out there but for the sake of our country this needs to stop and be delt with as a government issue and take it into higher authorities and not to be so publicized to everyone gets the idea of hating immigrants. They come here to have a better life and it doesn’t help if we have a chip on our shoulder to ruin another’s mind set and self esteem Americans are good people and need to step up to the plate and show how dominate we are. This is the perfect opportunity to Everyone that America has a gentle and hospitality side just as our industries and the way we do things have none other than our peoples significance to the outcome.

"The U Visa and How It Can Protect Workers.  Sometimes employer abuse of workers rises to the level of being criminal.  Depending on the crime committed and other factors, victim workers may be eligible for a U nonimmigrant visa, which provides important relief to those who fear losing their existing lawful immigration status through employer retaliation or who are targeted for abuse because they lack lawful status."http://www.nilc.org/immsemplymnt/emprights/index.htm

Week 2 EOC - Zippy Airline Catering

(1.)The company made significant redesigns for making the conveyor belt a part of the food packaging part of the Zippy Airline. (2.)It is more efficient for making food trays, and is more convenient. By adding this conveyor belt the employees were assigned a single task this made it so that the preparation process would be simple and efficient. I think as a result of this redesign it is a possibility that half of the employees may be fired, because of the machinery that replaced jobs.
(3.)Before making any kind of change to Zippy Airline I would write a letter to inform employees that the Airline of Zippy will be making changes and we may let some of our employees go due to our new machinery and development of the company. If one were to go ahead and not write a letter before substantial change to air out to all of the employees it would cause mayhem and possible riots would occur and take action by getting authorities involved and eventually not long after that our company would be publicized through out the media and disbursed all over the country and would definitely not look good on my part of running a company, therefore it is important to write a letter of substantial change.

Week 1 EOC Old Timer Makes Waves

In the Case Study "Old-Timer Makes Waves" Sally Fender is on the verge of being fired and writes a letter to the owner of the hotel a letter of her being harassed and states in that letter she will get a lawyer if necessary, "I'd hate to hire a lawyer when I've been loyal to the company for 20 years." A major problem with Sally's defense is that is her performance review after management change, Sally started at 5 out of 5 but after each management change it dropped in a decline decimal place by decimal place of her review. Sally plays the sympathy card in her letter by complaining about all of the things that have been up to par for the last several years at once she should have went through the system of management as soon as an incident occurred, “He’s constantly watching me and writing up everything I do.” This states an opinion of perception f the problem. Sally’s length of service doesn’t matter in this case of business she’s a slacker black and white. The management team needs to remember this is a business and not a charity case therefore proceed and perform the appropriate action and replace Sally and relief the hotel company of a nuisance. At the same time to be in Sally’s shoes I wouldn’t want to get fired but because of past performance and the decline of work effort it is the best thing to do. Hopefully Sally can cut her loses and get another job.

Week 1 - EOC My Voice

As a young and intrigued chef I have developed a second nature for food. Making enchiladas and tequitos are my favorite things to make. My favorite Mexican dish to eat is fajitas. I am knowledgeable and have worked in the food industry for three years under my father, an entrepreneur chef that has a catering business. Working at a young age I have learned more people and professional skills I am now realizing I have already achieved. Retail and design is not for me, I am humbled in a kitchen and stress doesn’t seem to change my views or feelings about this passion I have obtained. I grew up around food and will continue to contribute to food and make it a life style that I can be happy with for the rest of my life I see future in the food industry and I will work hard to make my dream come true. I love catering, it brings out the side of me that shows hospitality and that makes me happy enough. When you get paid for doing something you love it is a double positive. I believe I will not leave the food industry. With the support of my family and my achievements thus far I will be successful and prosper.
